Firefox Crashed!
January 21, 2010Ugghhh! My Firefox browser crashed! I hate it when this happens especially when I’m in the middle of blogging. It breaks my focus and concentration. I have no idea what caused the system to crash but whatever it is, I hope it won’t happen again. It is irritating. Booo!
Okay, enough ranting. LOL! I’m just venting out my frustrations. Now everything’s back to normal and I can go back to work. See yah laters!
The Tree Of Life
Did you know that aside from the many uses of coconut tree, it is also a natural eczema treatment? Well, I learned this from a friend who is suffering from allergic contact dermatitis. She has tried all kinds of ointments, gels and creams for her allergy but none of them worked. It only made her skin drier. Her dermatologist suggested she try another product that’s made of natural ingredients. So she tried virgin coconut oil and guess what, in just a matter of few days her eczema was gone! And she didn’t experience any side effects. No drying of the skin or whatsoever. So if you know anyone suffering from eczema, let them try virgin coconut oil.
So Sad…
I was about to check on this supplement for joint when I received an SMS from my cousin Rachel. She informed me that our dear grandma was rushed to the hospital this morning due to difficulty in breathing. And based on the examinations and lab tests done by the doctor, the results showed that my grandma has an enlarged heart.
An enlarged heart may be caused by a thickening of the heart muscle because of increased workload. (This increased workload can be due to heart valve disease or high blood pressure, for example.) This is called hypertrophy (hi-PER’tro-fe), which refers to enlargement of an organ or tissue due to an increase in cell size. - americanheart.org
In my grandma’s case, the enlargement was caused by her high blood pressure. So the doctor advised her to stay in the hospital for a few days to stabilize her blood pressure and to make sure there are no other complications.

My first time to play here at Sepia Scenes. This photo was taken last week at Park City, Utah. I was riding the funicular at The St. Regis Deer Crest Resort when I took this shot. By the way, that funicular is the first to ever open at a North American ski resort. It ascends 500 vertical feet in just 90 seconds to the primary hotel building.
Poor Dad…
January 18, 2010I called my dad today and he said he was absent at work since Friday because of his arthritis. He was advised by his doctor to stay at home and rest. He was given some medications to ease the pain and control the inflammation. But aside from his regular meds, dad is also taking a joint supplements pill everyday to protect joint cartilage cells from breaking down. Poor dad. I hope he would feel better soon so he can go back to work and can do the things he wanted to do without feeling any pain.
My Own Health Educator
January 17, 2010Hubby encouraged me to sign up for their free educator program courtesy of his health insurance provider. The program aims to help individuals improve their health and well-being. I already had my first session and so far so good. I like the health educator they assigned to me because she’s very witty and all the suggestions she made are easy to follow. And she really made a point when she said that I can try all the best weight loss products if I want to (with my doctor’s supervision of course) but it won’t work 100% if I don’t couple it with exercise and a healthy diet.

The Night Owl Strikes Again!
January 16, 2010It’s already 1:46AM here in my neck of the woods but here I am still up and kicking! I am trying to finish as much work as I can so I won’t have to deal with backlogs later. I actually planned on working early this morning but my friends came over and stayed ’til dinner. Of course, I had to entertain them so I set aside my work. I don’t care if I get dark circles under my eyes tomorrow. What’s important is that I finish my tasks on time.
I read this celebrity’s twit about a fat burner she’s endorsing and my first reaction was - really she’s using it? I don’t think she needs or uses one because she’s already sexy. But anyways, I still checked out the website of that product to find out what it’s made of and who made it. I also checked other fat burner reviews websites to see if the claims were true. Some said it worked for them while others said it didn’t and worse it made them feel sick and nauseated.
