I love the idea that having your own home makes you more independent but at the end of the day that’s not really how this has worked out for me. I’ve had a really hard time keeping up with the mortgage and between my Satellite Cable Providers and my magazine subscriptions I’ve had to cut back in all the places I never wanted to! I guess I thought it wouldn’t be as big a deal to own my own home but it’s really turned out to be a financial burden like I couldn’t have counted on. I had to put a lot of money into the renovations and that set me back and then on top of it all my hours got cut at work so it was just a tough time to be in my position. I don’t mean to sound like a complainer – at least I have a house and a job and a roof over my head, I just wish it was all a little bit more affordable for me!
