Spring Storm
March 29, 2010Well, looks like the rest of the week will be cold! We are expecting a spring storm this coming Wednesday and it will last thru Thursday. And according to weather reports, the storm will not only bring rain showers but snow as well. Brrrr!!! Good thing I didn’t put away my winter clothes and shoes yet because I’ll be needing them for sure.
What about you? What’s the weather like in your side of the world? Do share please! I’ll be back here to check on your comments. But for now, I need to visit this life insurance agency and see what they have to offer. See you in a bit!
My Element

You are a quirky, flighty, and zany person. You change with the wind. You are highly creative and often inspired. You love to be spontaneous and hate restrictions.
You have a yearning for travel and adventure. You want to have a wild and crazy life. You actually feel a bit more balanced when there is structure and stability in your life, but you avoid it.
Accident
March 25, 2010Back in grade school, I encountered a little accident. Well, it wasn’t really little because it scared the hell out of everyone. LOL! Anyway, here’s what happened. My classmates and I were practicing a dance number for our upcoming Recognition Day when all of a sudden, the ceiling fan fell off the ceiling (where else, of course. lol!)… Unfortunately, I was below it so the blade hit my eyebrow and cut it. My teacher almost fainted when she saw the blood gushing out of my head. She thought I got hit so badly. I was immediately rushed to the hospital and got a few stitches. Thank God my eyes were spared from the ceiling fan blades. I was still very thankful despite of it all.

Anorexic
March 24, 2010

This is how Sandra Bullock will look like if she’s anorexic. Thank God she’s not! Obviously, the photo was edited to make her look like a skeleton. Scary isn’t it? Well, sadly some celebrities has fallen victim to the delusion that being uberly skinny is beautiful. Take for example Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie. These two girls look like they had a weight loss pills overdose. I just hope they realize that it’s not healthy anymore. I prefer celebrities to be meaty just like Carmen Elektra and Kate Winslet.
Last Day of Exams
March 23, 2010I just finished talking to my sister on the phone and she told me that today is the last day of their final exams. Which means, she can now relax, sit back and watch a movie. LOL! If only I’m there, I would definitely treat her to a day of pampering at the spa. We can have our facials or try the newest best acne treatments, get a good body massage, and a manicure and pedicure. She deserves all these pampering because she has been a good student and she never gave us a problem. And even though a lot of guys courted here, she all turned them down because she wants to concentrate on her studies first. Such a good sister! Wish I was like her when I was her age. LOL!
Spring is Here!

For winter’s rains and ruins are over,
And all the season of snows and sins;
The days dividing lover and lover,
The light that loses, the night that wins;
And time remembered is grief forgotten,
And frosts are slain and flowers begotten,
And in green underwood and cover
Blossom by blossom the spring begins.
Relieving Joint Pain
Looking for ways to relieve joint pain? Well, aside from taking pain pills and other medications, why don’t you try this 9 ways to relieve joint stress. These time-proven steps is brought to you by Cleveland Clinic. Read on and hope this helps!
1.Control your weight. Obesity puts extra stress on weight-bearing joints, such as the back, hips, knees and feet.
2. Be aware of body position, using good posture to protect your back and the joints of your legs and feet. Whenever possible, sit down to perform a job instead of standing. Change position often, since staying in one position for an extended period tends to increase stiffness and pain.
3. Conserve energy by allowing for rest periods during the workday and while performing any activity.
4. Respect pain. It’s your body’s way of telling you something is wrong. Don’t involve yourself in an activity that puts strain on joints that are already painful or stiff.
5. Use care when getting in and out of a car, chair, or tub, as well as for climbing, lifting, carrying, pulling, or pushing objects. Think before you strain. Tip: Try to always sit in the highest chair in the room, and look for chairs with armrests to make it easier to get up.
6. Use your strongest joints and muscles to reduce the stress on your smaller joints. For example, carry a purse, handbag, or briefcase by its shoulder strap rather than by its handle.
7. Distribute pressure to minimize stress on any single joint. Lift dishes with both of your palms rather than with your fingers, and carry heavy loads in your arms instead of with your hands.
8. Avoid tight gripping, pinching, squeezing and twisting if your hands are affected by arthritis. Ways to accomplish the same tasks with alternate methods or tools can usually be found.
9. Investigate assistive devices. Many of these self-help products bath stools, grippers, reachers, grab bars have been developed to make every-day activities easier and less stressful on your joints and muscles. Your doctor or physical therapist can suggest devices that will be helpful for tasks you may find difficult at home or at work.
