Poor Dad…

January 18, 2010
I called my dad today and he said he was absent at work since Friday because of his arthritis. He was advised by his doctor to stay at home and rest. He was given some medications to ease the pain and control the inflammation. But aside from his regular meds, dad is also taking a joint supplements pill everyday to protect joint cartilage cells from breaking down. Poor dad. I hope he would feel better soon so he can go back to work and can do the things he wanted to do without feeling any pain.

My Own Health Educator

January 17, 2010
Hubby encouraged me to sign up for their free educator program courtesy of his health insurance provider. The program aims to help individuals improve their health and well-being. I already had my first session and so far so good. I like the health educator they assigned to me because she’s very witty and all the suggestions she made are easy to follow. And she really made a point when she said that I can try all the best weight loss products if I want to (with my doctor’s supervision of course) but it won’t work 100% if I don’t couple it with exercise and a healthy diet.

The Notebook Movie Quote

Here’s my fave lines from my fave movie of all time. :)

So it’s not gonna be easy. It’s gonna be really hard. We’re gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, for ever, you and me, every day. Will you do something for me, please? Just picture your life for me? 30 years from now, 40 years from now? What’s it look like? If it’s with him, go. Go! I lost you once, I think I can do it again. If I thought that’s what you really wanted. But don’t you take the easy way out.

The Night Owl Strikes Again!

January 16, 2010

It’s already 1:46AM here in my neck of the woods but here I am still up and kicking! I am trying to finish as much work as I can so I won’t have to deal with backlogs later. I actually planned on working early this morning but my friends came over and stayed ’til dinner. Of course, I had to entertain them so I set aside my work. I don’t care if I get dark circles under my eyes tomorrow. What’s important is that I finish my tasks on time. :)

Twitter

I read this celebrity’s twit about a fat burner she’s endorsing and my first reaction was - really she’s using it? I don’t think she needs or uses one because she’s already sexy. But anyways, I still checked out the website of that product to find out what it’s made of and who made it. I also checked other fat burner reviews websites to see if the claims were true. Some said it worked for them while others said it didn’t and worse it made them feel sick and nauseated.

Road Trip!

January 11, 2010
I just received news from hubby’s cousin. He’s coming back here for another business trip. Just like last year, he will head off to new orleans first then when he’s done with his business there, he will fly here in SLC and stay with us for a few days. We are planning to take him to Idaho and then to Las Vegas. I can’t wait! I love road trips! We might rent an RV!

It’s Almost Spring!

Spring is almost upon us! Which means, it’s time to prepare for spring cleaning and time to dust off the patio furniture as well. I still need to buy a few supplies though because I am planning to add more potted plants in our patio. I also need to buy a new set of patio cushions because the ones we got has stains already. And if my budget permits, I also want new curtains and drapes to give our living room and kitchen a new look.

How about you? What preparations are you doing for spring time?

Manic Monday

What is one thing you wish you could change about yourself? I wish I can be more confident and assertive.

Do you believe everything happens for a reason? Yes, I do.

What would be your dream job? A job that requires me to do nothing. LOL! Nah! Just kidding. Seriously, I want a job that requires me to interact with other people or help the needy.
