Pool of Fun!

Last week, hubby’s niece celebrated her 3rd birthday at a beach resort in DC and to add more fun we chipped in some money to buy more pool toys. And just as what we anticipated, the birthday celebrant and the other kids who were invited to the party had a blast with the toys! But their favorite is the Pool Water Volleyball Game of which the winning team brought home inflatables as their prize. Oh I can’t wait to see the pictures! My SIL promised to send us the digital copy tonight. Will post it here as soon as I get them so stay tuned. :)

Faster!

My siblings has been complaining about our desktop computer at home because it takes awhile to load applications.  So to end their agony, I volunteered to buy memory. Actually the first plan was to get them a new set of computer but my bro-in-law suggested we get an additional memory instead. It will cost me less money and besides our old one is still working just fine so might as well make use of it.

It’s Just 12 Months!

March 28, 2009

We seem to do things by years — 12 itsy-bitsy months … school, bonuses, taxes, subscriptions, holidays, board membership, … Oh, sure, Mother Nature gives us the earth’s journey around the fireball, but does that mean we have to follow suit?

I’m a Boxer!

March 24, 2009

Speaking of dogs, I found this fun quiz at BLOGTHINGS

and the result revealed that I’m a BOXER!

You are playful and energetic. You bring joy to everyone who crosses your path.
You are hyper to the point of being a comedian.

Everyone is wondering what you will do next.

You energy can get the better of you if you’re not careful.

You can have a destructive streak when you’re bored.
You’re very strong willed and powerful. You get you way without even trying to.

===================

FYI: The BOXER is a breed of stocky, medium-sized, short-haired dog. Boxers are friendly, lively companions that are popular as family dogs.Their suspicion of strangers, alertness, agility, and strength make them formidable guard dogs. They sometimes appear at dog agility or obedience trials and flyball events. These strong and intelligent animals have also been used as service dogs, guide dogs for the blind, *therapy dogs, police dogs in K9 units, and occasionally herding cattle or sheep. The versatility of Boxers was recognized early on by the military, which has used them as valuable messenger dogs, pack carriers, and attack and guard dogs in times of war.

As puppies, Boxers demonstrate a fascinating combination of worrisome expressions, energetic curiosity, flexible attention spans and charming characteristics. Boxers have an average lifespan of 10–12 years.

* Gee… I didn’t know boxers can be used as therapy dogs. A healthcare career will surely do them good if this is the case.

Tuesday Thunks

Dryer sheets, Octomom, roses, puppies, oh my!

1. What kind of dryer sheets do you use? We don’t use any of those.

2. How many times a week do you eat out/order in? We haven’t eat out since we had the baby. Maybe when he’s big enough and has had the necessary vaccines then we will try to go out once in awhile and see how our little boy behaves in public.

3. What did you do the night of your high school graduation? Nothing really grand. We just had dinner at home and invited some of my relatives.

4. So Octomom is rumored to have been offered a million bucks to do a porno. Would you do it for a million? Ewww! (for octomom) I will never do porn but I can pose for Playboy’s cover for a million dollar price tag. (dream on! i will surely need all the weight loss pills in the world for this!)

5. If your child was born with an extra finger or toe, would you have it surgically removed? Yes. And I think my child will thank me for it in the future.

6. What was the last movie you saw? Fly Boys. Rented at Netflix.

7. I wanna buy you a dozen roses, what color should they be? A mix of shades of pink.

8. You are walking across the street, you are not quite half way then a speeding car comes… you have to run to get out of its way, which direction do you run? I’ll turn around and go back as fast as I could.

9. Tell us about a time when you were invited over somewhere and had the most awful time. The third time I went back to Wendover. Don’t ask why.

10. You open your front door and there is a box with a puppy in it… what do you do? Adopt him! It has always been my dream to own a puppy and that one for sure is heaven sent!

NOTE: This meme is supposed to be done on a Thursday but I badly need fillers so hope you don’t mind.

Secure Your Future

More and more people everyday are losing their jobs due to the global economic crisis we are experiencing right now. Here in the US alone, the number of unemployed persons has increased by about 5.0 million over the past 12 months and the unemployment rate has risen by 3.3 percentage points according to the recent Household Survey Data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This is indeed very alarming. And according to  some studies, if you don’t have a college degree or a vocational diploma, you are more likely to lose your job. I know you don’t want this to happen so if you want to secure your future and have a stable and higher paying job, why not take a look at this medical coding training courses offered at Allied Health Institute? Who knows, you might find your true calling in the health care industry.

March 14, 2009
Are you paying too much for your car or health insurance? Well, stop wasting your money and start looking for a cheaper alternative. There are a lot of insurance companies out there who can offer you the same coverage and benefits at a much lower price. Prayer Request

March 9, 2009

P—–pray
U——until
S—-something
H—-happens

When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is all you need.

Take the next 60 seconds and simply say the following small prayer for the person who posted this.

Father,
God bless all my friends and loved ones in whatever it is that You know they may be needing this day! And may their life be full of your peace, prosperity and power as he/she seeks to have a closer relationship with you. Amen.

Then tag five other people. Within hours you caused a multitude of people to pray for other people. Then sit back and watch the power of God work in your life.

Passing this prayer request to my husband James, sister Liezl, bessy Teleen, Jilyn, and Ate Jen.
