Situation Sunday

February 23, 2009

Welcome, Sit back relax and let your imagination take over and see how you would handle these Situations.

Situation # 1
Valentines day has come you have planned a special day for you and your lover of 5 years. You think they are going to ask you to take it to the next level of your relationship, and perhaps ask you to spend the rest of your life with them. As the evening progresses they say they have a surprise for you at 9pm……. At 8:30 pm comes the door bell rings and it is your Mother she has come into town and wants to stay with you what do you do?

~ Welcome her in! She’s my mom and if my boyfriend is planning to propose that very night, I’m sure he wouldn’t mind having my mom around. It will even make the moment more special and memorable.

Situation # 2
You are out cross country skiing alone in a large wooded State Park…. You venture off the path and ski down a little hill. You fall and hit your head and are unconscious for a few hours. When you awake you notice it is total darkness…. night has come…. and you don’t know how to get back out of the park and to your car…. You don’t have your cell phone with you! What do you do?

~  Keep walking so I won’t freeze to death and shout for help as loud and as long as I could. That’s the best thing I can do in this situation.

Okay, that’s it! Feel free to snag this if you like. But for now, I need to do my readings on this Arizona car insurance company and then I need to fix a quick dinner for two. See yah laters!

Sunday Praise and Worship

Be not discouraged because of your soul’s enemies. Are ye troubled with thoughts, fears, doubts, imaginations, reasonings? Yea, do ye see, yet, much in you unsubdued to the power of life? Oh! Do not fear it; do not look at it, as to be discouraged by it; but look to Him! Look up to the power which is over all their strength; wait for the descendings of the power upon you; abide in faith of the Lord’s help, and wait in patience till the Lord arise; and see if His arm do not scatter what yours could not. So, be still before Him, and in stillness, believe in His name; yea, enter not into the hurryings of the enemy, though they fill the soul; for, there is yet somewhat to which they cannot enter, from whence patience, faith, and hope, will spring up in you, even in the midst of all they can do. -Isaac Penington

Push Gift

Hubby has been asking me what I want for a “push gift” and I told him I want a new desktop computer or one of those netbooks I’ve seen at Buy.com. But if he can afford to grant what’s in my wishlist, well, I wouldn’t stop him. As they say, the more the merrier! (Dream on girl!) But seriously speaking, a desktop computer would really be a big help especially when I’m working on my online tasks and digital scrapbook.  But I also need the netbook so I can connect to the cyberworld wherever I go. But if I were to choose just one gift,  then let it be the desktop computer. I can do more things with it.

Yahooo!

February 22, 2009

Geezz! I couldn’t believe my eyes and couldn’t be any happier when I saw my dot PH blog load! I was starting to doubt that “cat” who’s doing some maintenance here but he did fix it and I’m very thankful. At least now I can work on my online tasks due this week. Thanks dot PH and hoping this is the last major technical glitch you will encounter.

Boycott Facebook?

Got this disturbing info via Ems at Twitter:

Did you know that everything you’ve loaded up into your profile (personal pictures, etc.) belongs to Facebook, even after you’ve closed your account?

That’s what it says in the Terms of Service you agreed to when you opened your account, apparently.

The Consumerist recently uncovered this disturbing info and it’s causing quite a stir.

So, what does this mean?

Basically, Facebook can do whatever the hell they want with YOUR STUFF.

And, they can do so WITHOUT your permission.

What can I say? Well, I don’t really care if they sell my photos just as long as they don’t mess around with my pet at Pet Society! LOL! It may sound pathetic but I don’t have that much to lose because I didn’t upload that much photos at Facebook. I just signed up there to play at Pet Society. Period!

Discovering Denver

February 16, 2009
One of the top ten states that we would like to visit someday is Denver, Colorado.  Why did we choose it among others? Well, aside from its close proximity to Utah, Denver has a lot to offer especially for us who love the outdoors and of course great FOOD. Yup, I included food on the list because Denver Restaurants has been gaining national recognition and that’s one thing I would like to see for myself once I get the chance to visit the place. And as new comer to the place, this website here called Denver Westword will serve as my guide not only to the culinary scene but as well as to the latest happenings in the Mile High City.
