Sister helping after her head start

April 19, 2012
I appreciate the guest post, Rodrigo Coffey

I had never been to this website, www.Direct.tv, before my sister sent it to me. I was recently married and have been trying to get some idea of basic services in specific areas for when my husband and I move to our new place. We already lived together before we got married so we definitely have not had any of those sorts of newlywed problems. I think we have both been so busy with work and trying to get things together for the new place that we really do not have time to fight anyway. Every time we get home, we are just so happy to have some time to relax and to see each other. I think once we get all the research and decisions aside for the new place, including what sort of TV provider we will have, we will definitely get to really focus on our new life together. I have been sharing every bit of information with my husband I get my hands on to help us make some of these simple decisions. My sister got married about a year ago so she has a head start on me and is trying to help however she can.

A dining room table that’s better for entertaining…

March 16, 2012
Guest post written by Elisa Hampton

I’ve thought for quite some time now that there was no way I would ever buy one of those huge dining tables that you can put leaves into to make them longer. I remember growing up I had to help my mom take those in and out of her dining room table and just really hated doing it. It was always such a pain and I felt like we were constantly taking it in and out anyway. Well now’s come the time when I’m actually wanting to buy one of those tables, much to my surprise!

We’ve been entertaining so much lately anyway that we could really use the extra space instead of bringing out a tacky card table. My husband and I were checking out some large dining room tables about a week or two ago when I found a site about sears kitchen remodeling. I thought that it would be a great site to bookmark and come back to later.

I’ve been checking out all of my friends’ dining room style since I started looking up a new table. I’m surprised that I’m actually able to find some tables that are really stylish and can’t wait to find the perfect one to put in our dining room.

Hello March!

March 9, 2012

Say hello to my very first post for this month! Yaiks! I know… I’ve been neglecting this blog a lot… and I’m not proud of it. Sometimes I don’t even want to sneak in here because it makes me feel guilty. :( But just bear with me, okay? I’m just loaded up with chores these days that’s why I can’t stay too long in the computer. The only time I go online is when I need to re-order supplies from bajulimports.com charm bracelet for my MIL and to check my Facebook for messages coming from my siblings. The rest of my time is spent offline arranging and decorating our new home as well as attending to my son’s needs.

There are tons of affordable choices out there such as womens perfume, flowers, chocolates, etc. Or if you’re really tight on money, you can make your own V-Day card and tell your sweetheart how much you love her and how much she means to you. I tell you, nothing beats personalized gifts! Just be creative! You can get a lot of DIY ideas online on how to make Valentine’s Day a memorable one for you and your special someone. Good luck!

My Wonderful Husband

Thanks for the guest post by Esteban Vinson

I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband. Even though he works a ton of hours, he still shares household chores with me. I know I have it better than most of my friends, and I appreciate everything my husband does for the kids and I. We bought a new home last week, and we have been trying to get everything together for the move. We split up the tasks so that things could move along faster. I tried to give him the easier tasks, but he insisted on carrying his weight. I got to do the easier stuff like go to www.homesecurityfamily.com and set up our home alarm system, while he did all of the heavy lifting and hung up all the paintings and other decorations. I felt so bad at the end of the day, because he was so tired! The worst part was that the following day he had to pull a 12 hour shift at the hospital. I tried to make up for it by cooking a fancy dinner for him, but he was so sleepy he couldn’t even stay up to enjoy it.

BBQ Smoker

February 2, 2012
My husband collects recipes. Lately, he took a liking for grilling cookbooks with great smoker recipes. So for the love of great food, I looked around for bbq smokers. I got him a wood BBQ smoker, and true enough, the kind of wood he uses to grill adds a distinct flavor to the meat. Whether oak, maple, or mesquite… with his wood smoker, he can grill meat the way he wants it.

Wishing our friend the best of luck!

January 31, 2012

Best friends will always be there to help each other no matter what. In our circle of friends, this includes helping each other find our “future” partner in life. And speaking of which, one of my closest friends is nearing her 30’s and hasn’t had luck when it comes to relationships with men. We already tried almost everything: blind dates, group dates and so on. But none of it resulted to a favorable outcome. So we resorted to online dating! As of now, she is dating one of the guys she met through that free online dating site we told her about. Although we haven’t met the guy in person yet but we can obviosuly see that they’re getting along pretty well and D can’t stop talking about him. Well, I hope this is it! ♥

Be Insured

January 30, 2012
Being in the medical community is not at all that easy. Competition is very likely. You compete for patients, colleagues and even established hospitals. There are plenty of dangers in the job too. There are the usual health exposure and malpractice suits. In New York, this might have increased in folds because of the population explosion. Being a physician, you always mean no harm but there are plenty of people, especially those who are mourning, to get into malpractice suits. So get a New York medical malpractice insurance while you still can. Get the kind that has the best and appropriate quote for you. new york medical malpractice insurance, of course doesn’t just apply to physicians but to any other medical practitioners as well. Get protected.

Birthday Plants

January 22, 2012
I think… the funkiest birthday present I ever got was a Teacup Orchid plant! I mean it’s a real live fuchsia orchid that still flowers a year later. It’s just the sweetest thing! Everytime I water it, I’m reminded of the giver’s love—my dear husband.  It sits on my office desk and it’s quite therapeutic especially on harried workdays. So this year on my birthday, if anyone of you out there is thinking of getting me a present, another teacup orchid plant would be much appreciated! And you can find some nice birthday plants over at www.proplants.com. Choose wisely and generously! ;)

Tranforming Our Patio with Modern Outdoor Furniture

January 21, 2012
The furnitures displayed at maisonbertet.com taught me the meaning of STYLE. Well, see… I never cared for hanging-out much in my patio. I just used it for BBQs when friends come, or birthday parties for the kids. But, my patio was totally transformed by my new modern outdoor furniture. Coming home from work, my husband and I enjoy relaxing there. With our Trina Turk Collection, we can lounge and unwind with style!
